On March 1st-3rd Global Service Jam is held for the third time in cities all over the world, including Oslo. Come and design a completely new service along with other dedicated people! The result is shown in multiple design environments worldwide. It is not necessary to know anything about service design to be - there will be an introduction on the spot. The most important thing to bring is interest and creative openness!
We will meet on Friday the 1st of March at 1700, at EGGS Design's beautiful office at Akersgata 7. After mingling a bit we get the task from the central jam-office in India. Then we run a brainstorm and decide which concept ideas we will develop further. Saturday and Sunday we are working on detailing and prototyping of delivery. We can create video, graphics, animation or whatever we think communicate the new service best to the rest of the world.
Sunday at 1500 we will submit the results and can eventually check out the other jammers' work.

Contact Ingvild Sundby, ingvild.sundby@gmail.com for questions, comments, and if you want to contribute to the arrangement!
See you!
PS: We do have ONE requirement for our participants, and that is commitment and presence (ok, I guess that were two..) during the weekend. This is to ensure that all teams can work fully and continuously throughout the 48 hours. This does not mean being there 48 hours straight (we wouldn't want that either), but being with your group when the group has decided to work. This is usually Friday night, all Saturday and half of Sunday.

On service design:
Service Design is one of the most important developments in the design profession in recent years, and will likely play a central role in the design profession in the future. The establishment of the Global Service Jam shows some of this tendency. The Global Service Jam engage key service design centers throughout the world and is therefore a great platform to get acquainted with other design thinkers. In Norway, over 70% of the industry is within the services sector, and service design is therefore relevant to many different areas in most companies; as business development, organizational development, innovation processes and strategy work.
