OSHA Updates and Tools to Improve Workplace Safety

Prevent future workplace injuries and avoid potential citations by meeting OSHA requirements and learning how to use simple tools to help assess risks at your plant.

Join us for a half day learning event to:

  • Review a list of last year's most common OSHA violations and how to avoid them.

  • Learn about the latest safety concerns and recommendations that may affect your company, including new record-keeping rules, silica exposure guidelines, and fall protection standards

  • Participate in hands-on activities designed to detect and decrease risks in the workplace including injuries related to lifting, repetitive motion, material handling, and more.

  • Discover free and low cost resources available, including worksheets, online tools, and mobile apps, to help evaluate a variety of jobs.

Event includes a light breakfast, lunch, networking, presentation, workshop activities, and Q&A.

Speaker Information:

Neely Bridges, Research Engineer with Georgia Tech Safety, Health, and Environmental, provides on-site assessments to identify physical hazards and evaluate technical programs for construction and manufacturing companies throughout Georgia. Her previous research includes analysis of current and proposed ergonomic assessment tools regarding their usefulness in evaluating and preventing occupational injuries. She is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, an Engineer-in-Training, and a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

*This quarterly lunch and learn educational series will deliver actionable tips and tools of the trade specifically designed to help Georgia Manufacturers grow their business.
