What is Oscine?

Oscine is an experience and representation of what a restaurant would look like for Chef Nicholas Leiss of Farm2Chefstable. We strive to put a face to the local farmers, producers, and artisans of the Hudson Valley with each meal we create. Oscine draws from the terroir and seasons to create a meal.

Where is Oscine?

Accepted Answer

While Chef Nicholas looks for property to break ground to build a future restaurant to support the terroir, farmers, artisans, and producers of the Hudson Valley. Oscine is currently being held at Hover Farms Orchard House in Germantown, NY in the majestic Hudson Valley.

What's included with my ticket?

Accepted Answer

Oscine is 10 course tasting menu paired with beverages featuring Hudson Valley Cuisine. The ticket includes is a pre-dinner foraging experience with Deep Forest Wild Edible to get a feel for the terroir from which  Chef Nicholas draws inspiration.  Gratuity is included in the price of the meal.

Does some tell me about the wines and beverage pairings?

Yes, one of our sommeliers expertly pairs each dish and shares tasting notes with the group. One of the unique experiences of Oscine is that we will also be providing juices, kombuchas, and switchels along with the meal provided by the team of cooks.

How many people attend Oscine Experience?

Accepted Answer

We allow up to 10 guests per meal for rarity and intimate dinner experience. Tickets are sold on first come first serve basis.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Oscine dinners are designed to be intimate and have limited availability. We are able to process full refunds 14 days before your event. Within one week of your event, we are unable to accommodate cancellation requests and provide a refund.

How are guests seated?

All guests are seated together along a farm table "under the pine" of Hover Farms.

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Accepted Answer

Oscine is set to be outdoors "under the pine" of Hover Farms Orchard House with weather permitting. Please dress appropriately  for the weather outside.

What kind of food does Oscine serve?

Accepted Answer

Oscine experience is an opportunity to discover Hudson Valley Cuisine from the farms, fields, pastures, and forests prepared by Michelin-trained Chef Nicholas Leiss. Each meal focuses on the terroir from which he draws inspiration and his deep connection with nature and respect for ingredients.

Is there a menu?

Each menu is created along with the seasons and what is available from the bounty of the Hudson Valley at the time of the dinner event. We ask that everyone be prepared to try the creative expertise of the Oscine team.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Accepted Answer

We do accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences. We ask that you provide any dietary restrictions and preferences 7 days in advance of the event to ensure our team is able to accommodate. We will not be able to accommodate any dietary restrictions and preferences 72 prior to the event.

What if I don't drink alcohol?

Oscine takes pride in our beverage pairings and will focus on seasonal juices, kombuchas, switchels and other juices. Kindly alert our team at booking and we'll be sure to have non-alcoholic beverages on hand for the evening.

What is your dress code?

Accepted Answer

Our dress code is smart casual. We do ask that you be prepared to enjoy the Oscine experience outdoors throughout each season when booking. Please be prepared to wear shoes that will endure the foraging expedition such as sneakers, or hiking boats

Do you allow dogs at your events?

Accepted Answer

While we'd love to meet your pup, we can't allow dogs at our events due to restrictions in which we operate. We do make exceptions for registered service animals!

Is there parking?

We offer parking in the front lawn of Hover Farms Orchard House

Can I attend just the dinner over the foraging experience vice versa?

Accepted Answer

We ask that all guests enjoy the dinner by Oscine and Foraging excursion by Deep Forest Wild Edible together to fully encompass the discovery of the Hudson Valley.
