Description

We don't just hand out free curricula. We offer free training too!

Success in higher education is an issue for all students. Currently, only 65 percent of students at four-year institutions, and only 38 percent of all first-time postsecondary students at two-year institutions and graduate within six years. Clearly, access to higher education alone is not enough to provide educational opportunity to all when low-income, first-generation college-going students are the least likely to graduate.

Realizing the College Dream” was created to provide tools to help educators increase the completion rates of first-generation low-income college students.

ECMC is pleased to provide our nationally recognized curricula and facilitated workshops that increase student success in higher education free, at no cost to participants or the students you serve.

Highlights:

  • Highly interactive training environment
  • Innovative applications for curricula implementation
  • Experiential, game-based techniques for teaching fundamentals
  • Facilitation by professional trainers

When you're a teacher, few things are more frustrating than watching bright students with endless potential rule out college because they think it's too expensive or a waste of time. Realizing the College Dream can help you reach those students and show them that college is one opportunity they can't afford to miss.

“Realizing the College Dream” helps high school students and their families by:

  • Hands-on activities and interactive workshops about planning and paying for college
  • Experiences that challenge students to see themselves in college
  • Eye-opening information about the economic value of college
