Origami Ornaments or Garlands with Recycled Materials
Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (PST)
Redwood City, CA
Do you have old cards, calendars, or scraps of paper laying around the
house just waiting for the perfect project? Let's turn those recycled
scraps into origami globe ornaments. These ornaments are fun to make
and a great way of upcycling paper materials. They also make wonderful
gifts for the holidays.
Kids under 10 are encouraged to join as long as they have an adult to help.
Extra materials will be provided during the class, but feel free to
bring your own paper scraps.
About the instructor: Marissa Carter studied art at UCSC and has
always loved to craft. After graduating, she started Granny Panty
Designs which focuses on upcycled goods and art made from vintage maps
and paper. Her motto is, "Before you throw it away, think of what it
can become" and she is excited to share her knowledge of ornament
making with you!
