MAKER STUDIO - 3D PRINTING - ORIENTATION

  • Thank you for booking your 3D Printing Orientation with the Maker Studio. We look forward to help you achieve your project goals. Please arrive 15 minutes early to find parking. The Maker Studio is located in the Selden Arcade at 215 E. Plume Street adjacent to the Slover Library. Bring your Norfolk Public Library card for registration into our Maker Studio access list. If you do not have a library card, please bring identification (e.g. state-issued ID card, driver’s license, etc) and proof of address that you are a Virginia resident so that you may fill out an application.
  • The 3D Printing Orientation with the Maker Studio will last 45 minutes to 1 hour. We first discuss policies and procedures that you are expected to adhere to while using Maker Studio equipment. Questions big and small are welcomed and encouraged by our wonderful staff. Most importantly, orientation also allows us time to get to know you and your projects further with intention to provide a more productive, personalized, and positive experience for our patrons. Regardless of skill level or experience, attendance is mandatory for all patrons planning to use Maker Studio equipment for any project. After the orientation, you may reserve the studio by calling or preferably emailing us with your requested date and time.
  • If delayed, please call the studio at (757)431-7443. Cancellations must be notified at least 24 hours prior of the originally scheduled time via phone or email at sloverstudios@norfolk.gov
