Orientation - MBC Minneapolis

Thank you for your interest in the Minnesota Birth Center!

Participating in an MBC Orientation is an essential part of establishing care with us. At Orientation you will meet one of our midwives, learn more about MBC's Birth Philosophy and guidelines, and take a tour of the available space and birthing rooms.

When registering for an Orientation, please keep the following in mind:
-Just one ticket covers the registration for you and a partner or support person.
-Please review the Paying for Care section of our website to determine that your insurance policy is listed as In-Network.
-You are welcome to attend an Orientation at one location and establish care at the other location (e.g. you may attend Orientation in St. Paul and establish care in Minneapolis).
-If you register and are unable to attend, please cancel your registration in EventBrite so that another interested person may take your place.
-At the Orientation's completion you are welcome to sign up for a first prenatal visit.

A note to clients desiring a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC):

-If you are attempting a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean, you are not required to attend an Orientation but are welcome to attend if you wish. If you choose to not attend Orientation, please call for more information on setting up an initial visit.

A note to clients who will be transferring their care in pregnancy:

Minnesota Birth Center values the relationship that is forged over the length of a pregnancy. We also understand that sometimes a pregnant person finds that their preferred philosophy of birth changes over the course of a pregnancy. If you are considering a transfer of care to MBC, please read the "How do I transfer my prenatal care to Minnesota Birth Center?" section of the MBC FAQs webpage to ensure you fall within our guidelines, prior to scheduling an Orientation.
