Description

This is a New Volunteer Orientation that is held on the second Saturday of every month, rain or shine at 9 AM until about 11AM.

Learn about the rescue, the animals and how you can help.
Take a tour and meet the animals (there are about 50 horses on this farm - we have 130 total - as well as other animals!), visit the petting zoo (with miniature horses, goats, pigs, sheep, ducks and chickens) and get HANDS ON EXPERIENCE with some of our daily barn chores that include:

• Mucking (cleaning) stalls • Clean water buckets • Fill water buckets
• Pickup/dump manure • Haltering • Feeding

Dress code:
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and/or dirty.
Wear sturdy, closed toe shoes (sneakers or low heeled boots are ideal.)
For your safety, please DO NOT wear sandals, flip flops or steel toed boots. Also, no hanging jewelry or loose clothing that can get caught.

Age requirement:
Kids of all ages are welcome as long as they are supervised at all times. Children 16 years or younger must come with an adult.

Dogs:
No dogs allowed.

This is a rain or shine event:
The Orientation is held under a covered Pavilion. If it rains, it will be held in the barn.

Volunteers are needed 7 days a week.

***VOLUNTEERS ARE THE BACKBONE OF THE RESCUE FARM***
