In last few years we have seen many people joining the ranks of organizational and agile coaching and with a lot of new certifications and trainings. Still the real success of organizational tranformations and change is low.
Which made us think, what is agile coaching really? What is impact of Agile Coaching? Is it about agile methodologies like Scrum? Or as Agile Manifesto says, it's about people and their interactions?
In our opinion the failure of Agility is linked to focus on adoption and not transformations. Transformation of an organization needs involvement of and recreation of have multiple layers of organization. Also a lot of focus is put emphasis in “being Agile” or “doing Agile”, and forgetting the real purpose and goals of the organization. If this is the case as Agile coaches we need to see beyond Agile, Business agility and Digital transformations and pursue the deeper understanding of organizations.
But, real challenge organizations are facing is how to innovate and grow and survive in an exponential world where two guys in a garage can disrupt 50 year old business.
We believe Agile alone can not be the answer, rather it can be sub-optimization, we need to think holistically about organizations in this new era of exponential growth.
As Dave Snowden said, “We manage the emergence of beneficial coherence, with attractors and within boundaries”. Organizations are systems and their intrinsic and extrinsic beneficial coherences are based on how they approach their Product, Structure (people), Processes and Culture.
With this invite only event we want to Learn and Share views and approaches towards, how to see through the outer layers of organizations and understand the patterns and how those organizational patterns impact on the workings of same.
We will like to run this event in a collaborative format, such as open space or talking tables, to go deeper on various aspects related to Organizational Design and Development.
Some of the proposed topics are.
Why organizations are a system? And what does system really mean when connected to organization?
How we can use systemic coaching in organizations?
What are possible building blocks on any organizations?
How we can read patterns in organizations? And why of those patterns.
What are parameters needed to be accounted for Organizational Design (OD)?
How Product, People, Processes and Culture of an organization impact on OD?
What is organizational Development and how to make it work for organization?
