Organic Garden Pest Control
Sat, April 29, 2017, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM CDT
"What do I spray to kill that bug?" OR "What insect will take care of it organically?"
Which one of these sounds like you?
To use any kind of pesticide-whether organic or not- one must know what one is looking for. What if there is no insect but only damage to be seen? Recognition and proper diagnosis is what we all require before we step in and deal with some bug problem in our gardens and landscapes. Maybe, there isn't a need to do anything at all- except create the proper environment.
NHG welcomes our own Felicia English as your guide in this free class to learn the differences to approach your insect problems. Find out how to recognize the beneficials, but also deal with those who are just not-so-helpful. IPM and how it works with an overall pest control plan will be discussed.
Felicia English is our IPM (Integrative Pest Management) coordinator for Blue Label Farms in Wylie, Texas, sister to our North Haven Gardens operation. She has a Bachelor Degree in Horticulture from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a love affair with insects and other living things that stretches back to her childhood.
