Event description
Community leaders of four Western cities compare what went right, what went wrong, and the future challenge of COVID and homelessness.

About this Event

The Oregon Housing Conference is an interdisciplinary educational gathering – online for the first time in 2020 – of experts and advocates discussing issues about housing important to people in recovery from mental illness and addiction.

The Conference in 2020 will include four municipal case studies on COVID 19 and Homelessness within the Ninth Circuit Court. Municipalities to be studied are Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Portland. Each city is within the Ninth Circuit Court’s ruling Martin v. Boise.

Fourteen hours of continuing education credit for this conference will be available through the National Association of Social Workers. The audience for the 2020 Oregon Housing Conference will be national, knowledgeable, and keenly interested in what’s going right with COVID 19, what went wrong, what what are the future challenges.

The conference will be attended by clinicians and healthcare directors, housing developers and administrators, policy-makers, community leaders, law enforcement, and funders.
