Description

The Oregon Conservation Law Forum is an educational program for attorneys with land trusts, public agencies and law firms to learn, discuss and help shape land conservation law in Oregon.The purpose of the forum is to discuss current legal cases, emerging legal and policy issues for land conservation, to review strategies, and to provide guidance for meeting these challenges. Through all three forums, COLT hopes to support a peer network of attorneys that share a common interest in conservation and land use in Oregon.

There will be three forums this year:

FORUM: August 15th at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in Portland

Topics for the August 15, 2018 session will include:

  • Title Review - Practice and Procedures
  • Mineral Rights case study
  • An Oregon legislative update
  • A closing round robin, where participants will be encouraged to raise topics and ask questions

Forum enrollment is limited to 20 people, so register early. There will be a call-in / video option for those who would like to participate remotely. Please let us know if you would choose the remote option.

FUTURE FORUM DATES

  • Early December (date and location TDB)

Each forum session will focus on different issues, run from 10am-2:30pm, and will include a catered lunch. MCLE Credits are available.

Cost of each forum is $100 with MCLE credits, and $50 without.


The C2 Ranch in Jackson County, 1,600 acres of which are protected with a conservation easement held by the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy.
