Oregon Coast Photo Caravan -- Session 2

July 29 - August 2, 2017

Bandon, OR and Yachats, OR

Description of Workshop:

Our week-long Oregon Coast Photo Caravan filled up fast. So we decided to add another workshop immediately following the original dates. Please note that this is a shorter session with 4 shooting days in the Bandon and Yachats areas. There will be some post processing time, but no group slide show at the end.

We are excited to add another session. The Oregon Coast offers photographers a wide range of image-making possibilities including rocky cliffs, beaches, forests and colorful sunsets. This workshop, led by Rick Sammon and local photographer Alex Morley, will get you to many amazing shooting locations at the optimum shooting times.

Here's how the workshop works: You drive. You book your own hotel rooms (we will recommend a hotel in each location). You pay for your own meals and park fees. We provide photographic instruction and guidance. And, we arrange shooting locations, meeting times, conference rooms, restaurants, etc.

Workshop Schedule:

Days 1 and 2:

The workshop begins in Bandon, Oregon, in time for our first sunset shoot on the beach. We'll be up early the next day to capture images of Coquille Lighthouse, followed by a visit to Shore Acres State Park to shoot the amazing sandstone cliffs, including Minor White’s Wall, and a lovely garden perfect for macro photography. We'll return to Bandon Beach in the evening, a perfect time to photograph the unique sea stacks in golden light.

Day 3 and 4:

After a sunrise shoot on Bandon Beach, we'll be off to Yachats, Oregon. On the way, we'll stop at Haceta Head Lighthouse and Strawberry Hill to explore the tide pools and look for seals. Later in the day we will return to the coast to capture images in dramatic late day light. Our last day will include visits to Cape Perpetua, the tide pools of Bob Creek and the legendary Thor's Well.

Payment Policy and Schedule:

The cost for the workshop is $650 per person; space is limited to 12 participants.

A $300 non-refundable deposit is due to reserve your space. The balance of $350 is due on April 29, 2017. Partial refunds will be made for cancellations received on or before April 29, 2017. Sorry, no refunds on or after April 29, 2017, but workshop fees can be applied to another workshop.

A follow-up memo with schedule details, meeting locations, recommended gear list and a liability release will be sent to registered participants.
