Description

Back by popular demand, Clark and Mount members are invited to a special conversation and reception at The Mount on May 17, at 4:00 pm.

Kathleen Morris, The Clark’s Curator of Decorative Arts, will discuss one of New York’s most celebrated and aesthetically cohesive Gilded Age rooms: the Marquand Music Room (The Music Room is a focal point of a new exhibit opening at The Clark this summer). Ms. Morris will be joined by Research Associate Alexis Goodin.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Please call 413-551-5112 for reservations.

Kathleen Morris is The Clark’s Sylvia and Leonard Marx Director of Collections and Exhibitions and Curator of Decorative Arts. Prior to joining the Clark staff, Morris was associate director for exhibitions and collections management and curator of European sculpture, decorative arts, and prints at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. She received her Ph.D. in Art History from The University of Virginia in 2005.

The Mount is a Massachusetts Cultural Council UP designated organization welcoming participants of all disabilities. Please contact Nicole Williams at 413-551-5100 or by email, nwilliams@edithwharton.org, to discuss accommodations needed to participate fully in this event.
