Keynote Speaker: William Brodsky, Chairman & CEO, Chicago Board of Options Exchange

With over 40 years of experience in the U.S. options, futures and securities markets, Bill Brodsky will share his unique perspective on the state of the capital markets, providing  valuable insight into equity options strategies and how these strategies may influence stock valuations. He'll also share his perspective on where the global capital markets are headed.

The lunch is co-sponsored by NIRI-Chicago, CFA Society of Chicago and the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals - Chicago Chapter.

9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Mini-Workshop: Shifting Capital Markets & Complex Risk Management Techniques: Implications for Stocks

The reality is the capital markets have changed. Trading pits have given way to electronic trading platforms. Exchanges have consolidated. Volume is passing through dark pools. Options are being used to manage risk. Short interest cannot be ignored. What does all this mean to the IRO? What's behind the options trading in your stock? Should the increase in your stock's trading volume alarm you? Is all short interest in your stock bad? What should you monitor and why?
