Optimal Nutrition with Dr. David Phillips, Sports Nutritionist

We are thrilled to present nationally renowned Sports Medicine Doctor David Phillips!
How does exercise and proper nutrition affect our quality of life? What is the impact of oxidative stress on aging and chronic disease? Whether you are a medical professional, a coach, a trainer, an athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone just interested in a healthy lifestyle, this is information you will want to hear!
Dr. Phillips graduated from Harvard University in 1984 where he earned academic honors and was an All-American swimmer.
Dr. Phillips completed his MD at Wright State University School of Medicine in 1989 where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he was Chief Resident. He practiced 11 years as a Board Certified Emergency Physician.
Having competed in triathlons on a national and world level including the 2005 Ford Ironman World Championships in Kona, and as a member of Team USA representing the United States at the 2008 ITU World Championships in Vancouver, Dr. Phillips has first hand knowledge of the important role of nutrition in the athletic arena.
He will educate our community on how to protect ourselves against oxidative stress specifically how athletes can protect themselves pre, post event and beyond. We are so lucky to have him in Lander, WY!
