"Opposite Ends of the Bridge" A Gospel Stage Play
Sat, May 13, 2017, 7:00 PM – 8:45 PM EDT
2 brothers, Calvin and Raymond Williams couldn't be more different.
Calvin is a judge full of pride and self-accomplishments, a compassionate husband to his beautiful wife Veronica and loving father to Mia; but leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to his only brother Raymond who he despises and has very little respect for.
Raymond on the other hand has made some bad choices in life. He’s been in and out of jail, and has toughened his skin from the hard blows and stones Calvin has thrown his way. His only comfort is his daughter Grace who loves him unconditionally. Raymond reaches out to Calvin for help, not caring that Calvin’s blood boils at the sight of him.
Veronica takes every opportunity to put the mend the pieces of the brothers' relationship, but not without fierce resistance and arguments. She sees is that the enemy has divided the two brothers and has left them spiritually blinded on opposite sides of a bridge that is falling with them still standing on it.
Thank God for Mia. Although she is young she is “saved” and spiritually wise beyond her years. She convinces Grace that they must seek God’s help to tear down the enemy’s stronghold on their fathers’ lives. It is their combined faith in a faithful God that in the end allows them to see the manifestation of total healing and restoration.
