We are delighted to invite you to join us at the seventh annual 2019 Opportunity Youth Network Summit: Amplifying the Impact. As always, this is the premiere event bringing together government, philanthropic, business, nonprofit and young leaders to jointly shape national priorities and advance collaborative efforts for and by the Opportunity Youth field. (While this event focuses on national actions, local and state organizations who want to help shape and participate in national activities are most welcome to join.)

We have two exciting days planned. They are designed to work in tandem so we recommend joining both days, but you can also register for just one.

Day 1, Wednesday November 13 is the OYN/NYEC Policy Day. Policy Day is hosted by the Opportunity Youth Network in partnership with the National Youth Employment Coalition and the Reconnecting Youth Campaign, focuses on policy making and advocacy. It is your chance to learn about recent federal policy changes affecting Opportunity Youth, policy decisions likely to be made over the course of this year, and the advocacy campaigns underway.

Day 2, Thursday November 14 is the Opportunity Youth Network Summit. This is the place to jointly shape national priorities and advance collaborative efforts. This year there has been a lot of interest in (1) strategic communications driving narrative change and (2) defining, measuring and improving the quality of Opportunity Youth programs, so those topics will feature prominently throughout the day. (Let us know other topics ripe for national collaboration that you would like prioritized.)

Hotel Accommodations

Attendees are responsible for covering their own travel costs and making arrangements for overnight stay. We reserved a room block at the Washington Hilton Hotel, where the convening will take place. The room block rate is $199.00 per night, exclusive of taxes.

The rate cannot be guaranteed after the cut-off date of Monday, October 9, 2019 and/or if we no longer have rooms available within our guest room cap associated with the event. Book your room as soon as possible to lock in the highly discounted rate.

Click HERE to secure your room today using the OYN Block portal. If you have any questions or concerns, email Shanell Harriday at shanell@forumfyi.org.

Note: If you cancel your hotel room after 4:00 PM ET, 72 hours before your check in date - the forfeiture amount will be a 1 night stay.

Meeting Costs

Meeting expenses will be covered by the Summit sponsors. However, we ask that you reserve your spot at the convening by paying a registration fee of $25.00. The fee is waived for youth participants and federal employees. Contact Shanell Harriday at Shanell@forumfyi.org for the registration waiver code.

If this registration fee provides a barrier to attending the event or if you have any other questions related to this event, please Shanell Harriday at Shanell@forumfyi.org.
