The following faculty members will be featured for this event:
Jeremy Kienbaum (Viola) - Violist Jeremy Kienbaum is an enthusiastic soloist, chamber musician, and educator. He has performed with renowned musicians such as Alexander Fiterstein, Carmit Zori, and alongside members of the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, and Metropolitan Opera Orchestras. Strongly committed to performing works by living composers, Mr. Kienbaum has premiered works by Aaron Jay Kernis, Augusta Read Thomas, and Peter Eötvös and has worked with composers including Thomas Ades, Fred Lerdahl, and Nina C. Young. In 2016, he gave the world premiere of “Tragedy No. 2,” a string quartet concerto by Theo Chandler, as a member of the New Juilliard Ensemble in Alice Tully Hall. Mr. Kienbaum teaches violin, viola and chamber music at Hunter College in New York and has taught at Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras, and for Opportunity Music Project.
Adrienne Baker (Flute) - A socially conscious artist, Adrienne strives to use her voice to help others find theirs. A dedicated educator, Adrienne teaches privately – flute, voice and piano – to students of diverse musical backgrounds and ages. There is no greater joy to her than to simultaneously foster a lifelong love of learning and appreciation for music. The intersection of community and commitment with their accompanying values was a foundation of her upbringing and permeates her creative process and output. Through her collaborative duo with saxophonist Seychelle Dunn-Corbin, NorthStar Duo, they work to promote and expose audiences to works for winds. Previous commissions include Spirituals for Wind Duo, an arrangement of negro spirituals by composer Anthony Green. Their most recent commissions include a premiere in Boston of Aaron Jay Meyers’ You Save One You Save the World Entire and Liz Gelinas’ The Sky Is Green. A composer, arranger, and active freelancer, Adrienne has written for chamber ensembles and played in the pit in her first Playbill this year in the online Broadway musical, Ratatouille.
Lucas Pullin (Guitar) - Lucas Pullin was born in Caçapava, Brazil. Mr. Pullin began his musical studies at the age of nine and started to take guitar lessons at age thirteen. He enrolled in the Souza-Lima Conservatory at age fifteen for two years, which led him to the São Paulo State University where he graduated as a conductor and composer. In 2012, Mr. Pullin was awarded a master’s degree from The Juilliard School in Guitar performance and in 2013 a Postgraduate diploma studying under Mark Delprioa at The Manhattan School of Music. Maestro Lucas Pullin commixtures a performing and teaching career. As a performer, he has shared Joe’s Pub stage with pianist Dustin Gledhill as well as a tour in New Orleans performing Brazilian/French music. He has held collaborations with violinist Karen Gomyo, flutist Guilherme Andrade, Mitzy Nonaka and tango violinist Matchiko Ozawa in performances around NYC. Moreover, he has performed a solo recital for The Bohemians including the New York Musician’s Club and the Guitarras Latinas! Festival in Paraguay.
Rowan Harvey (Violin) - Rowan is an Australian violinist who currently lives in New York City. She wasawarded the Licentiate of Music with distinction from the Australian Music Examinations Board at the age of 16. Her other achievements include 1 st prize in the Gisborne International Music Competition (1996) and the Nescafe Big Break Award. She has been awarded grants from the Australia Council for the Arts, the Queen Elizabeth II Trust, the Ian Potter Foundation, the PPCA Performer’s Trust and the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund. After moving to New York, she obtained a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in violin performance from Stony Brook University. As an orchestral violinist, Rowan has performed with the Opera Australia Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra and has been a member of the West Michigan Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and the Albany Symphony Orchestra. She has taught for many organizations in NYC including the Phil Ramone Orchestra for Children, the Harmony Program and the Children’s Aid Society.
Alex Lavine (cello) - As a product of public school string programs, Alex has always been committed to bringing the passion of music to the next generation. Through teaching and performances, Alex has been able to foster young musician’s creativity through new and unique initiatives like his award winning project the Bloomington Connect. This organization brought together two dozen musicians to host performances and workshops in schools, hospitals, and community shelters throughout Indiana and Chicago all free to the public. Alex also keeps an active teaching schedule with his most recent appointment as faculty member at Opportunity Music Project in Manhattan where creativity and developing a growth mindset are his highest priorities. As an active performer, Alex has been a regular participant in the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, a prizewinner of the American Protégé International Strings and Piano Competition, and has held positions with many regional orchestras.
Kathryn Olander (piano) - A graduate from Manhattan School of Music, New York City based coach/accompanist Kathryn Olander is on the musical staff of recently revived New York City Opera. In past years she has served as assistant conductor with and as rehearsal pianist with many opera companies including Sarasota Opera, Kentucky Opera, Sacramento Opera, Dicapo Opera Theatre, Porgy and Bess Theatre. Chattanooga Symphony/Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Emerald City Opera, and Mobile Opera. In addition to her private coaching studio Ms. Olander has held coaching positions with the Juilliard School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Chautauqua Institute School of Music and served as musical director of the Indianapolis Opera Ensemble.
Music to be performed include works by: Schubert, Mozart, Pernambuco, Bach, and more.

The mission of Opportunity Music Project is to create a community where all children, regardless of economic background, can pursue their passion for music and gain the valuable personal and collaborative skills associated with the rigors of learning an instrument. Opportunity Music Project serves 125 students from all five boroughs of New York City, ages 4-18. Opportunity Music Project students have gone on to attend specialized arts high schools and music programs, including the Juilliard School Music Advancement Program, the SpecialMusic High School, LaGuardia High School, and Frank Sinatra High School, and have performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Lincoln Center, and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
