About this Event

Speakers:

Richard McLemore II, is the Executive Director of McLemore Holdings. Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, McLemore Holdings, is an African-American culturally inclusive organization, focused on providing holistic professional development trainings, renters and homebuyers educational courses, and healing circles - addressing the underlying psychology behind criminal behavior. He is a three (3) time college graduate, most recently graduating from Metropolitan State University - with a Focus in Psychology. Prior to his current position, Richard was the Housing Director for Ujamaa Place. Providing housing education, along with transitional housing for young men between the ages of 18-30; while simultaneously, acting as Program Manager for Alternatives to Violence Project-Minnesota. He volunteers his time facilitating psychosocial workshops on mental and emotional healing for those incarcerated at State and Federal prisons, juvenile facilities, and county jails throughout the state of Minnesota; Richard is also a Racial Justice Facilitator for the YWCA, and a circle group leader with the Dispute Resolution Center’s “ETHOS” program. He founded the Community Diversion Program—an extension of the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) to help curve juvenile incarceration rates in Minnesota. Richard is also on the Board of Directors for “We Are All Criminals” and in mist of writing his autobiography.

Rose Eschmann, an AA Speaker who has traveled the country to share her experience, strength and hope at various conferences and events. Originally, from New Jersey, she now resides in Florida working in the medical field. Her story details the progression of alcoholism, abuse and self-hatred. After decades of addiction and a 6-year incarceration she finally found a way to re-enter society, face her fears and build a life without alcohol or drugs. It is a story of hope and perseverance.
