Opportunities and Benefits of Heritage Foods Symposium is a one-day event of sessions on multiculturalism, food, farming & entrepreneurship
About this event
What are heritage foods? How do you grow them? Where can you buy them? How do you cook them? How can heritage foods help build community and celebrate culture in our community? Join us for this symposium as we answer these questions and explore the nutritional, historical, cultural, and social value of heritage foods. The event will bring together farmers, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who will lead presentations on growing and selling heritage crops, food entrepreneurship, food and culture, and integrating heritage foods into the curriculum. The event will not only help you grow, sell, and cook heritage foods. It will also highlight how such crops can contribute to local economic growth while also acknowledging the rich, multicultural elements of our community.
