OPP for the M.D.*/Back to Basics for the D.O. PART 1

*This program is designed for ALL healthcare providers (M.D., PA, DNP, PharmD, DPT, etc.) not previously trained in osteopathic manipulation and medical school faculty, including Ph.D. and non-clinical faculty that want to learn more for teaching purposes or incorporate OPP/OMM into research.

We will give a brief introduction of the origin and philosophy of Osteopathic Medicine to Teach & review the following:

• Palpation exercises
• Soft tissue technique
• With documentation practice
• Skills check-off lists
• Including medicine, surgery, and OB/GYN patients
• Review of current and past research
• Myofascial release technique
• Lymphatic technique

We will also give detailed instruction for full-body screening evaluation to be used in the hospital or the clinic:

• Walkthrough the rationale for treating key complaints as seen in the hospital.
• This rationale can easily be extrapolated to clinic patients too!
