Event description

Description

Our next Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meeting will be held on August 24th, 2017 from 9:00 am – noon. Coffee and a light breakfast will be served starting at 9:00 am. The program this quarter will be dedicated to a presentation on, and discussion of, opioids in Howard County. The program will include an overview of the opioid problem in Howard County, county initiatives to try to reduce the issue, a panel discussion that includes families affected by opioids and treatment providers, and concludes with a call to action (including an optional naloxone training following the event). We hope you will join us to learn more about how this crisis is impacting families and the community, and what actions you can take to help.

If you would like to attend a free 15 minute naloxone training at the conclusion of the program please select the General Admission + 15 Minute Naloxone Training ticket when registering.

This meeting is free and open to the public.
