Description

You are invited to participate in a locally-held, practice-focused, learning collaborative designed to enhance understanding of:

Opioid Prescribing: Understanding the Changes in the Vermont Prescription Monitoring System, Prescribing Rules, and Managing Acute and Chronic Pain

Learning Objectives:

  • Assess recent data and emerging best practices presented by Dr. Charles D. MacLean and learn how to use your own data to drive improvement;
  • Improve the process for managing opioid prescribing for acute and chronic pain, supported by Dr. Constance van Eeghen, through team-based design of strategies;
  • Design new work flows, with the support of Dr. van Eeghen and the Blueprint for Health’s Practice Facilitators, for implementation;
  • Implement practice-wide and provider-specific strategies to improve opioid prescribing, with technical assistance and support;
  • Evaluate effectiveness of strategy implementation.

Please note: Due to the necessity of ensuring each participating practice has support from Blueprint Practice Facilitators throughout the Learning Collaborative sessions, we will need to restrict enrollment. If you are interested, please register by August 2nd.

Who Should Register: At least 3 practice members to create a practice team (e.g. 1 prescriber, 1 non-prescriber clinical staff, and 1 non-clinical staff member)
