DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS September 20!

Mothers, babies and the community are impacted by the opioid and other drug epidemic. Medical concerns around pre-natal care issues, labor and delivery post-delivery resources can ease the life consequences for children born exposed to substances.

Two days Friday 9/27 8:00am-4:00pm and Saturday 9/28 8:00-3:00pm 

Target Audience is: OB-GYN, Internal Medicine, Neonatology, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Pediatricians, Family Practice Medicine, Nurse Midwives, Nurses, Medical Professionals, Social Services: State and County level, Alcohol/Drug Treatment providers, Child Welfare, Family Counselors, Social Workers, Public Health and other interested, involved community members.

Continuing Education credits are in the application process. 

Keynote Speaker: Supporting Vulnerable Families:  We All have a role to play.

Barbara Cimaglio- former Deputy Commissioner for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs at
the Vermont Department of Health (VDH) - nationally recognized leader in the
field of alcohol and drug abuse prevention, treatment and recovery.  Prior to joining VDH in 2004, Ms.
Cimaglio directed the Office of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs for the State of
Oregon (1997-2004), and held the position of Director of the Department of Alcoholism
and Substance Abuse for the State of Illinois from 1994 – 1997.  Work is documented in http://www.astho.org/prevention/nas-neonatal-abstinence-report/
