This 90-minute event will continue discussions designed to bring together partners in the community – federal government, Department of Defense, academia and industry – to explore the role of artificial intelligence in real-world healthcare settings.

The July installment will feature M. Khair ElZarrad, PhD, the Deputy Director of the Office of Medial Policy in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). ElZarrad’s keynote address will brief the FDA’s work in operationalizing AI in health and discuss the relevance of the agency’s work to current events. This event will also feature a discussion led by Erin Hahn, a senior national security analyst at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, on current events and their impact on operationalizing AI in health.

Our 2020 National Health Virtual Speaker Series will include additional events in August and September, continuing our exploration of Operationalizing AI in Health. Additional information on topics and registration for those event will be released soon.
