About our Speaker:
Connie Valencia is a process improvement and risk advisory expert with an accomplished background in the field of internal audit. She is a Director of Process Improvement at Office Depot. Previously, she was a principal at Elevate, a premier advisory firm specialized in: process improvement, internal audit, IT consulting / compliance and accounting services. Prior to joining Elevate, Connie served in leadership roles as Director of Internal Audit for a $2B Real Estate / Asset Management Firm as well as Practice Leader over the Advisory Services for the South Florida offices of Grant Thornton. Connie began her career with Arthur Andersen serving the Audit and Assurance Services practice. In addition to serving her clients she serves on the board of the South Florida IMA Chapter. In addition, she is also a board member and former president of the Miami Chapter for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). She is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and has her Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
