Event description

Description

Event scenario:

Germany launched their assault on Moscow, Operation Typhoon, at the beginning of October 1941. The Panzers of Army Group Centre quickly out flanked the Russians from the North and the South. They tore a hole three hundred miles wide in the Russian line, capturing over 700,000 soldiers. By the end of the month they were only eighty miles from Moscow. After a pause to let the ground refreeze, the Germans resumed their advance on November 15th. By then the Russian resistance had stiffened. The final German thrust would stall by December 5th. The Russians mounted a counter offensive that threw the Germans back up to 150 miles.

The event:

Our scenario picks up on November 15th 1941 with the Germans holding in a wood line near a small village waiting for the ground to refreeze. While the Russian continue to reinforce a near by village in defense of Moscow.
