Event description

Description

Event scenario:

Operation Queen was a operation undertaken by the United States and the Commonwealth troops on the Siegfried Line. The operation was aimed against the Rur River, as a staging point for a subsequent thrust over the river to the Rhine into Germany. The operation commenced on 16 November 1944 with one Of the heaviest German resistance, especially in the Hürtgen Forest through which the main thrust was carried out. By Mid-December the Allies finally reached the Rur and tried to capture it's important dams, when the German launched their own offensive dubbed " Wacht am Rhein". The unsuiung Battle of the Bulge led to the immediate cessation of the Allied offensive efforts into Germany until February 1945.

.

The event:

The Allied forces will need to capture and secure the bridge over the river and the surrounding towns. Other objectives will be added for German and Allied forces.
