This training is only for volunteers who have already: (1) submitted a volunteer application and (2) completed the volunteer orientation webinar. The webinar is the first part of your orientation. This hands-on training is the second.
If you are interested in volunteering but have not yet completed these steps, you can find all the information you need to get started at http://www.operationkindness.org/opk/?page_id=283 .
At this 1-1/2 hour, small-group training, you will practice handling dogs and cats and tour the shelter. Your trainer is an experienced volunteer who will answer all your questions and help you get started in any areas that interest you.
If you are cat-allergic, don't worry. We will make sure you are not exposed to our high-allergen areas.
Please wear closed-toed shoes to the training session. We will spend time outside, so please dress accordingly.
You will receive a confirmation email after you register. If you need to cancel, please email us at the “contact the organizer” email address shown your confirmation email.
