Operation Hero Homecoming

MOH PFC Willy F. James Jr. made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America. He the only African American from Kansas City, Missouri to receive this rare, distinguished award and we are fortunate to have had such a distinguished person who was born and lived here, prior to his service in the U.S. Army. PFC James is buried at the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands. His Medal of Honor will be displayed at the Black Archives of Mid-America, Kansas City.
