Join us as we celebrate 60 years of service! Held in New York City on Saturday, June 16, 2018, it will be during the 60th annual orientation weekend for Crossroads volunteers and group leaders to reunite, meet and mingle with the volunteers spanning six decades as well as the incoming travelers.
It will be held at the place where Crossroads began.
Everyone with a love for Africa is welcome. Children are welcome (free). Share with your friends! Last day to RSVP is June 1, 2018.



[KEYNOTE SPEAKER]

Dr. James A. Forbes is the Former Senior Minister Emeritus of the Riverside Church, an interdenominational (American Baptist and United Church of Christ) church on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. He traveled with Operation Crossroads Africa to Togo in 1960. He also worked with our Founder, Dr. James Robinson at the Church of the Master as an intern. RSVP to witness him speak about the legacy of Operation Crossroads Africa. Join us at the 60th Anniversary Celebration at the Church of the Master, in Harlem, New York City

[SPECIAL PERFORMER]

A classically trained musician and gifted lyricist, Elle Winston’s music draws from her blues filled Arizona beginnings. Her sound is a blend of soulful, jazz-inspired, American roots music. She has been featured at the Billboard Lounge at Barclays Center, Apollo Music Cafe, City Winery, the Mile of Music, on NPR Music and Apple Beats 1 Radio. 2018 marks the 10 year anniversary of her trip to Ghana with Operation Crossroads Africa. RSVP to witness her sing at the 60th Anniversary Celebration.

What are my accommodation options?

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The easiest way to travel is by yellow taxi. You can expect to pay about $30.00 to get from LGA to the church or the Aloft Harlem Hotel.

The least expensive option from LGA to Manhattan is the M60 bus, which you can board within the airport. Take the M60 bus to 125th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue which is walking distance to the Church of the Master and the Aloft Harlem Hotel. You can buy a bus/subway pass in the airport.

Which airport would be the best one to fly into?

The best and the closest airport is LGA (LaGuardia) it's also reasonably close to Harlem area of New York City.

Bear in mind that LaGuardia is under renovation and airport services may be disrupted at intervals.

How walkable (safe) is the area around the hotel/dorm and the reunion site?

It's all in the same area also known as Harlem. It's a busy city, so it's safe, but of course always be cautious by keeping luggage close to you until checked into the hotel/dorm.
