Do I have to be religious to come?

Nope! #openShabbat is open to anyone and everyone. No further knowledge or experience required.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring yourself, a friend, and be ready to have a good time! 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Nope!

If the event is free, why do I need to make a mandatory donation?

In order to make sure we order the right amount of food for everyone, we want to avoid people RSVPing with no plans to actually attend. If you're not sure about your plans, we get that - RSVP if you can, and stop by either way. A minimal donation helps us avoid this issue. We do suggest a donation of $36, to help cover additional costs for #openShabbat. Everyone is welcome, regardless of how much, if anything, they gave.
