Event description

Description

Join us for a day of connection and conversation to share tools, stories, and strategies related to journalism and technology.

This year, the journalism floor from the Mozilla Festival expands to the day before! All day on Thursday, October 26 we'll have the hands-on, collaborative sessions you love from MozFest, but this time in central London.

Many of the sessions will be scheduled that morning. We'll build a schedule together of three concurrent sessions in each block, and you're free to move between sessions so you can check out a lot of topics. We've confirmed a few sessions in advance as well! They include:

Sessions will be a mix of talks that share what folks have learned with opportunities to get hands-on with new ideas and share your own questions and experiences. We'll finalize the rest of the schedule that morning, and expect sessions related to data viusalization, video and text, and other topics, including whatever you'd like to bring yourself.

The day will start with coffee/tea and finalizing the session schedule together. We'll have a group lunch (covered by OpenNews) and wrap in time for you to head to dinner, maybe even with some new friends.

For more details about this and other journalism-related events with MozFest, please check out our site.

This event will be covered by the SRCCON Code of Conduct.

This unconference is inspired by the KleinCamp News Innovation unconference.
