Event description

Opening to the Great Transition

A workshop to purposefully and courageously explore our collective future

Facilitated by Sandy Wiggins

Monday September 16, 2019

(space is limited, register early)

A time of disruption and our opportunity for change

The human family has entered a time of unprecedented change and profound choice. Powerful forces of our own making are accelerating and now converging, and the collective impact of the many trends shaping our world is literally beyond our comprehension. It is time for us to realistically envision the future being shaped by the enormous changes ahead in this century of great transition.

Coming together in community in a context that supports us in our wholeness, offers consciousness-driven perspectives and makes space for our feelings, can foster understanding and empowerment. In community with others who share a similar impulse or desire, creative alternatives for our collective future can emerge. "The world doesn't change one person at a time. It changes as networks of relationships form among people who discover they share a common cause and vision of what's possible." [Margaret Wheatley & Deborah Frieze]

The Invitation

Join us for this unique, experiential one-day workshop. We’ll explore humanity’s great transition through key driving trends that are shaping our world and the new story emerging that deepens our relationship with all of life. Through the support of dialogue, guided meditation, videos, journaling, grief appreciation, and more, we will expand our understanding of this time of transition and explore and activate what is being called for from us, individually and collectively, for humanity to survive and thrive. Please note, this is not a solutions-oriented workshop; rather, it is intended to create space to deepen our understanding of the challenges ahead and to open us to the emerging paradigm that will make successful navigation of those challenges possible.

This workshop is a good fit for you if any of these statements resonate:

  • I am concerned about my family’s future and the future of the world.

  • I sense profound shifts occurring in the world that are not being talked about enough.

  • I don't know what I can do to make a difference in the face of these changes.

  • I feel like there is deeper meaning to the shifts that are occurring in the world.

  • I want to explore these issues with a community of other people who care about them.

What people are saying about the "Opening to the Great Transition Workshop:"

  • “I feel empowered to have real conversations with people about what’s going on in our world, and I feel more connected to myself."

  • “The workshop has given me a framework for re-imagining the future and a vision of community within which we can create that future."

  • "It helped ratify and contextualize what is at hand and how my self-limiting belief is preventing me from active engagement in our shared future.”

  • “Instead of giving up to overwhelm, I am able to meet my feelings and focus my attention on what I can do to create change.”
