Opening Reception for "Tethered"
Join us for an opening reception of "Tethered" by Saskia Jordá at the Chandler Center for the Arts.
Saskia Jordá works in a variety of media to create installations and experiences that examine themes 0f geography, migration, and cultural identity. This exhibition features a grouping of suspended bird and kite-like objects, installed high in the airy gallery space yet anchored to the building. In Tethered, Jordá simultaneously juxtaposes feelings of flight and constraint, lightness and weight, hope and longing – while exploring the visible and invisible connections to place and to familial bonds.
