Opening Night: A Benefit for Birmingham Landmarks
Friday, April 19, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (CDT)
A group of young professionals in the Birmingham community recently formed the Alabama Theatre Junior Board to support the nonprofit, Birmingham Landmarks, LLC, which owns the Alabama and Lyric Theatres.
The Junior Board hopes to raise money and awareness at this year's event, a 20's themed event, going back to “Opening Night,” which will be held on April 19th at the historic Alabama Theatre.
Come walk down our red carpet with classic cars outside provided by Coats Classic Cars and relive the magical opening night of the Alabama Theatre in 1927!
Doors open at 7pm for a cocktail hour featuring live jazz by Gary Wheat in the lobby, heavy hors d'oeuvres by Ted's and silent auction followed at 8pm by dancing on the historic stage with music by Ain't Misbehavin' till 10pm.
Roaring 20's attire is encouraged and guests will be welcome to participate in our costume contest.
Tickets are $35 for a single and $60 for a couple and includes two drink tickets per ticket and chance for silent auction.
All funds raised from this event will support Birmingham Landmarks, LLC, the nonprofit that supports the restoration and preservation of the historic Alabama and Lyric Theatres downtown.
We hope to see you at the Alabama on April 19th!
Thank you to our sponsors!

Alabama Theatre Junior Board
A group of young, eager professionals in the Birmingham community recently formed the Alabama Theatre Junior Board to support the nonprofit, Birmingham Landmarks, LLC, which owns the Alabama and Lyric Theatres. Since then, we have worked diligently to create ties in the community and pioneer new events designed to raise awareness and revive the Theatre and Arts District.
