ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Anthony Greiter, Community Outreach Specialist, Iowa State University Police Department, Ames, IA.

Officer Greiter is an 11-year veteran of the Iowa State University (ISU) Police Department. He began his career in 2006 as a police dispatcher. he was hired as a police officer in 2009 and immediately identified a passion for two areas: sexual assault response and educating the community through outreach. As a dispatcher, Officer Greiter was a primary point of contact for the Story County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART).

Officer Greiter has provided training and education to more than 35,000 community members and professionals on the topics of sexual asualt, rape culture, bystander intervention and best practices for response. He continues to challenge and improve the ways individuals and institutions view sexual assault.

Anthony Greiter has captivated an audience around the world. He has been consistently recognized by the International Association of Chiefs of Police Center for Social Media as one of the Top Five Campus Law Enforcement Agencies on both Facebook and Twitter.
