The 2nd Annual OpenCoSF Festival

October 9-11, 2013

The best way to experience and learn about the innovation economy isn't in a stuffy ballroom - it is up close and personal and in its native habitat. Experienced marketers and conference organizers Brian Monahan and John Battelle invite you to participate in a new type of business conference called OpenCo, which we like to think of as a mix between a business conference and artist's open studio with the vibe of a music festival. Hundreds of the most innovative businesses in SF will open their doors to the public on October 10-11, 2013.

This festival of innovation will celebrate companies and organizations that embrace a set of values surrounding the concept of openness: open collaboration, open communication, open community, open company and open doors to you. Attendees will meet these innovators in their native habitat and hear from the founders and executives about how they are trying to change the world and why. They will inspire you and help you make new connections, whether you are a job seeker, investor or simply a curious neighbor.

We ran a "beta test" of OpenCo in San Francisco last Fall and the one day event was a huge success. We had over 80 participating companies and 2,000 registered festival goers. Here is a video that gives you a taste of that event:

We're expanding everything - the technology platform, the video coverage, the staffing, and the services we provide to HostCos and partners. We are increasing onsite video coverage so that these exciting stories remain told throughout the year and to audiences far and wide.

Please help us support some of San Francisco's most exciting and dynamic companies...

Co-founders, OpenCo

NewCo Platform - OLD - DO NOT USE

A fresh twist on the traditional conference + media platform, NewCo is rapidly gaining traction across the globe. The concept is simple but powerful: NewCo turns a traditional event inside out. Instead of filling a dark ballroom with “attendees” and having leaders lecture in a one-to-many style, NewCo occurs inside the world’s most innovative startups and high-growth companies.  Executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and future influencers get an up close and personal experience of each company in its native habitat. Once inside, participants have a wide range of experiences – from behind-the-scene tours of cutting-edge work environments to founders candidly sharing insights into their own entrepreneurial journey. Only NewCo offers this deep and unique experience of the innovation economy.
