About this event
The Asian American Writers' Workshop will convene a reading of local poets drawing on the experience of being SWANA in America, from daily resistance to categorization, to partaking in protest movements in support of a homeland half a world away, our poets will move and inspire you. This event is co-curated by AAWW Margins Fellows Ghinwa Jawhari and Sahar Romani, and will feature Threa Almontaser, Hala Alyan, Mariam Bazeed, Ghinwa Jawhari, and Sahar Romani.
The title of this event is by the Palestinian poet Fadwa Touqan.
THIS IS AN OFFICIAL 2021 BROOKLYN BOOK FESTIVAL BOOKEND EVENT.
This event will be live-streamed on Zoom. Please RSVP to receive the Zoom link via email. The event will be uploaded to the AAWW YouTube channel the following week.
