Imagination and creativity will save the world. With this belief, Adriel Luis (DRZZL) imagines and creates, constantly exploring new mediums for expressing social change. A musician, writer, visual artist, and educator, Adriel has spent the past decade pushing artistic boundaries. His spoken word funk band iLL-Literacy has performed and taught at over 200 campuses nationwide, as well as SXSW, the Bumbershoot Music Festival, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. His social commentary has been published on Change.org, Colorlines, and Hyphen Magazine. The film adaptation of his poem Slip of the Tongue has been screened at over 75 film festivals worldwide and won an EMMY. His latest creative project, BeastReality, uses his latest explorations of music and visual arts to discuss the complexities of human interaction for our emerging generation. Outside of his own artistic work, Adriel works at the Smithsonian’s Asian Pacific American Center as Curator for Digital & Emerging Media.
