Homelessness is real in the suburbs.
On any given night there are 2,500 teens that don't sleep at home in Minnesota - as many as nine each night in the Southwest Metro area. This is over 1,000 teens a year.
Teens feel more comfortable near their “home base” when dealing with crisis. In January 2015, a crisis shelter opened in our community that provides emergency support and services for homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. Before the Bridge for Youth - Southwest opened, there was no emergency housing available west of Uptown Minneapolis. Now, they can stay in their school and neighborhood area with The Bridge now being in the Southwest Metro. More than 300 youth have been supported so far - and this is just the beginning.
With your support, we will keep the crisis shelter open to meet the needs of youth and their families.

What is curling?
Curling is basically bowling on ice. It's a sport you can play at any age or level of physical ability and the rules are easy to learn.
What does the curling portion entail?
If you purchase a curling ticket, you will be given a 20-minute curling lesson and then spend the next 40 minutes playing a mini-spiel with your teammates. Space is limited for curling so register early to secure your spiel!
What should I bring/wear if I'm curling?
Bring along a clean pair of athletic shoes (carry them in, do not wear them in) and consider wearing a light jacket or hoodie, winter hat and gloves as you will be on ice.
What if I want to curl with friends?
Great - play with your friends or compete against them! Curling teams are made up of 4 people so you can create a group with you and another friend, 4 people for a team, or an entire lane of 8 people for a little competition against more friends.
When you purchase a curling ticket, you can choose what time you prefer to curl (7:00 or 9:00) and enter who you would like to curl with/against.This information will help is coordinate your request!
What if I don't want to curl?
No problem! Come and enjoy the dinner stations, fun games and spectacular raffle while giving back to the community.
Where should I park?
Parking is free in the lot outside the Chaska Curling Center.
