Open Design Conference Barcelona (5-6 July)
Event Information
Description
THE CONFERENCE
ODSC is an international forum that aims to present a variety of approaches to the concept of open design, touching different configurations of design practice, social design, user involvement and new business models.
The main idea is to offer alternative visions to 'closed' and propietary systems, be it in terms of design process, business structure, social impact/participation or dissemination.
Digital technology and social networks have reached a point of maturity from which a new industrial culture is emerging, revolutionising the processes of creation, mediation, distribution and consumption. Taking design in all its expressions and forms as a starting point, the conference is an important international forum of ideas, working platforms and specialised practices that are transforming the articulation of design with society, economy and culture.
