If you are interested in patient empowerment, in self-care, in mHealth or in health apps, please join us at the Science 14 Atrium in Brussels (near the European Parliament), any time during the afternoon of Thursday, 14 November 2013.
PatientView, creator of the MyHealthApps.net website will be launching the site with many other partner organisations.
You will also have the opportunity to meet MyHealthApps.net partners, DG CONNECT and health app developers. Come and try out the technology and share what you think about the mpowerment revolution in mHealth.
To attend, please register (free) in advance of the day.
The MyHealthApps.net website is intended to help patients and the public build the right repertoire of health apps to optimise the management of their own healthcare. Whether members of the public want an app to provide them with health information, or simply support an exercise routine, the MyHealthApps.net site will have something to suggest. The site builds on the success of the 2012-2013 European Directory of Health Apps.
Among the exciting features of MyHealthApps.net:
- 300+ apps nominated and recommended by patient groups
- Apps in 150 different specialty health areas
- Information about apps in over 30 different languages
- Readily searchable by language, by category and by platform
- PC/mobile/android/tablet compatible
The MyHealthApps.net website has been developed in partnership with:
- European Health Forum Gastein
- NHS Commissioning Board
- Vodafone Foundation
And with the encouragement of the European Commission's DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology.
About this Open Day
The event will be hands-on and interactive - come and meet the My-HealthApps.net team, health app developers, and the site's partners, all of whom have an interesting story to tell on m-health and its huge potential.
If you are pressed for time that day, you should be able to see the stands in around 20-30 minutes. But stay longer, if you want. Invite colleagues to register, as well. The site will benefit from feedback from patients and the public.
Looking forward to seeing you there ...
If you have any queries, please contact the event organiser, PatientView.
Details can be found in the column to the right.
When & Where
MyHealthApps.net is brought to you by PatientView, publisher of the 2012-2013 European Directory of Health Apps, which was produced with encouragement from the European Commission. PatientView is also working with the NHS Commissioning Board to develop myhealthapps.net, and to support the building of the NHS Health Apps Library.
PatientView is a UK-based research, publishing and consultancy group created out of a belief that the views of patients should be considered in all important healthcare decisions (whether a new healthcare product is being developed, or whether a government is instituting changes to a healthcare system). Today, PatientView has the capacity to reach out to 120,000 patient groups (covering over 1,000 specialties, and from most countries in the world). The patient movement grows continually in numbers and scale of influence.
