This month we're welcoming Simon Cookson (@simoncookson) from G2G3 Digital, who have been working on an open data demonstrator app for the Making A Difference With Data conference.
With the goal of improving user engagement experience with local (offline) services through an open data-driven mobile app, join us to hear about the design thinking and data challenges behind the project, including
- prioritising choices of what data to visualise
- decision-making behind how to visualise or present the data
- the challenges of combining multiple open data sources about local services
- integrating the approach with the council service delivery strategy
- handling multiple user groups

Open Data Sheffield welcomes all who are or want to get involved in the city's growing data community.
Whatever your interest - big, small or open data, the transparency or innovation opportunities, the civic or cultural insights data can afford, or you're just curious to find out what the fuss is all about - you're very welcome to join us at Open Data Sheffield.
Open Data Sheffield is a community of citizens, data entrepreneurs, geeks, academics, journalists, local authority staff, third sector workers and public data providers with a passion for data and its infinite possibilities.
The diverse community gathers in Sheffield on the third Monday of every month, from 6pm - 8pm. All are welcome to explore how to realise the value of open data to improve their communities and business, or join us after the talks for drinks at the Rutland Arms. Follow @opensheffield and hashtag #datashf on Twitter to keep updated. Or join in on the online group.
