Event description

Description

The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment in collaboration with the Mayor's Open Data Team is proud to lead the Open Data Literacy efforts on behalf of the City of Los Angeles.

These hands-on Open Data Community Trainings seek to educate and empower all 97 Neighborhood Councils and interested community members alike to explore the City's open data portals. This helps participants gain a deeper understanding of the makeup of their neighborhoods to solve their unique neighborhood needs.

For example, the data that participants learn to access can help them apply for grants, identify community partners, beautify their streets, increase public safety, design a local outreach campaign and much more.

With this said, we hope you can attend the next training in Boyle Heights happening Wed, May 30th(5-7: 30 pm).

Spanish translation and a set number of computers will be available. However, participants are encouraged to bring their laptop or tablet.

Thank you and see you soon!
