Event description

Description

Open Coffees are a gathering for Change Makers across the spectrum and serve as an opportunity to meet with some of Omaha's most impacting and influential people. Each week we invite a special guest to share their personal story in an open Q&A format, allowing attendees to ask key questions that might inspire new ideas and spring them into action! Think of it like getting a coffee meeting with someone really great but as a group!

Join us Mar 6th for Open Coffee with Cliff McEvoy. He is incredibly committed to his community through volunteering, organizing, and assisting nonprofits. Cliff was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and attended Mount Michael Benedictine High School. He graduated from Saint Louis University and was commissioned as an Air Force officer, served for six and a half years before separating as a Captain and was awarded the United States Air Force Commendation Medal.

Cliff also earned a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Akron with Pi Alpha Alpha Honors and a Masters of Science in Leadership from Creighton University and inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. He was an AmeriCorps member, graduate of Leadership Omaha and is currently on the Board of Directors for Nebraskans for Civic Reform, a member of the Greater Omaha Young Professionals Council, Greater Omaha Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, Omaha Jaycees, Omaha Professionals United in Service, Nonprofit Association of the Midlands Nonprofit Executive Institute and recently awarded a 2016 Ten Outstanding Young Omahans. Cliff credits his success to attending several confidence and leadership programs throughout school that gave him the experience and fortitude to pursue his passions. He is honored to now be the Executive Director of the Buford Foundation that provides the same experiences to Omaha youth that changed his own life. He is also the Program Manager for Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska’s AT EASE program for veterans. Cliff is a proud Omahan, concerned veteran, dedicated nonprofit professional and caring member of his community.
