Description

The Washington State Office of Public Defense invites public defense attorneys, contract assigned counsel, investigators, and all other support staff to attend our free 2018 Regional Training. We will cover a broad array of topics that impact criminal defense practice in all case types, and at all court levels.

9:45 - 11:15 Working with Experts - Sonja Hardenbrook, Snohomish Public Defender Association

11:30 - 12:30 Non-English Speakers in the Courtroom - Judge Laura Riquelme, Skagit County Superior Court

1:45 - 3:15 Calculating LFOs - Judge Linda Coburn, Edmonds Municipal Court

3:30 - 5:00 Ethical Obligations to Immigrant Clients - Sara Sluszka, Washington Defender Association


WSBA CLE approval is pending. Application has been made for a total of 6.5 credits - 1.5 Ethics, 4.0 Law and Legal, and 1.0 Nexus Subject.


Light refreshments will be provided. Lunch will be on your own.
