The first Ontario CERT Advanced Training of 2019 will focus on training CERT members to become National Weather Service SKYWARN weather spotters. Your asssistance as a weather spotter will help ensure accurate weather reports and predictions which all serve to potentially save lives and property from hazardous weather events.

This training will cover:

• Basics of thunderstorm development
• Fundamentals of storm structure
• Identifying potential severe weather features
• Information to report
• How to report information
• Basic severe weather safety
