Description

Get certified as an American Red Cross Health & Safety Instructor; upon completion of this course, you will be able to train and certify others in First Aid/CPR/AED skills. KITA LLC is a proud licensed training provider with the American Red Cross; certification is valid for 2 years from the date of training.

Class times are:

Thursday, 10:30-2:30pm

Friday, 10:30-6pm

**This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a precourse skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. You will be asked to pay a $35 fee to the American Red Cross in order to access the online content of the course. For more information, please reference the attachment you will receive via e-mail when you register for this course. Learners should wear comfortable clothing and sensible shoes (no heels please).

Your instructor trainer has been an American Red Cross certified instructor since 2010 and an instructor trainer since 2012; she has successfully certified hundreds of learners throughout Southern Nevada and Oahu, maintaining over a 95% Very Satisfied rating in her course evaluations.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking at the university will be validated; the location is on Kamokila Boulevard along following bus routes: 40, C. Upon entering the parking garage, park on Level B2 and take the elevator to the 1st Floor. The classroom is located across in the Kamokila wing of the building. The event will be held at the building located at 949 Kamokila Boulevard. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course.


What can I bring to the event?

What's the refund policy?

Refunds are granted up to 24 hours before the class date; any cancellations within 24 hours of class time will require a transfer of registration & payment into a future class.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, as long as the name on the registration matches the name of the learner then the printed ticket is not necessary.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can update your registration information up to 2 hours in advance of the course date.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, you may transfer the registration up until the day of the class. However, please note that the name on the completion certificate for the online component must match the name of the person who appears for the classroom skills session.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

For the fastest processing of certification, it is best if the name on the registration matches the name of the person who attends. If the name does not match, certification for the entire class may be delayed until corrections are made, so as much as possible please include accurate information for the attendees. In addition, please note that the name on the completion certificate for the online component must match the name of the person who appears for the classroom skills session.


I don't have a printer. How do I provide proof that I completed the online portion?

A screenshot of the completion certificate or digital copy will be accepted, provided that the name on the online completion certificate matches the name of the person who appears for the classroom session.
